Bella Thorne Fires Back at Trolls Who Accused Her of Using Drugs

Bella Throne can’t seem to get away from her online trolls. They’re constantly coming for her, but this time Famous in Love star decided enough was enough. It all started when Bella shared a makeup-free photo of herself on Instagram. The shot led some commenters to suggest that she was on “crack,” which is so incredibly rude that we almost don’t believe people can be so shameless. So, Bella took matters into her own hands and posted a series of tweets firing back at her haters.

If you take a look at the photo, there’s literally no evidence to suggest that she’s on drugs. It’s a simple shot of her in a red bikini. All she was trying to do was promote her music. “Happy girl because I’m releasing two songs on Friday #GOAT #BITCHIMBELLATHORNE,” she captioned the post.

“You guys got me f*cked what what cuz I don’t wear makeup and I’m exhausted from working and I have acne, and you guys think I’m on crack?” she fired back. “What the f*ck is wrong w you guys.”

But her Twitter rant didn’t end there. Instead, she continued to slam the haters, reminding them that she’s a real-life person with human feelings. “I don’t like 2018 you guys just try and rip apart EVERY single thing you see. It’s disgusting,” the 20-year-old continued. “You can’t just for one second think hmm this is a real person I’m talking to.. a real f*cking human being just like yourself.”

Bella is right. To assume that someone is on drugs because they look tired or have acne is nuts. And even if she were, making nonchalant comments about something so serious is pretty effed up. We’re glad she had the courage to stand up for herself even though she doesn’t need to give her haters that kind of attention. Here’s to hoping that these trolls learn that celebrities are people, too.

In April, the actress opened up about how fans often mislabel her as a “party girl” because of her acne. “If I go out without makeup, [headlines will read], ‘She must have been partying the night before, look at her skin, she’s wrecked,’” she told Vogue. “No, it’s because I struggle with cystic acne.”

Though Bella usually tunes out the hate, she has never shied away from telling it like it is when the trolls go a little too far. This was one of those times. So what that she looks tired? She’s had a very busy year thus far. Not only did she film the next season of Famous in Love, but she also starred in the movies Midnight Sun, Assassination Nation, and I Still See You (slated for release this year). How about we let the girl enjoy her downtime, yeah?
