Katy Perry is continuing her tradition of dating guys for whom hair-washing seems to be at the bottom of the priority list, if the reports of her and Orlando Bloom hooking up are true. And there’s definitely a lot of evidence pointing to it, from their canoodling at the Golden Globes to their hand-holding in Hawaii, with a rumored Selena Gomez love triangle along the way.
Then last night Orlando was spotted arriving to a Hillary Clinton fundraiser at Radio City Music Hall in New York City, where Katy just so happened to be performing. While on stage, Katy wore a red, white and blue ensemble complete with striped pants, but she opted for a more casual — yet still patriotic — outfit for greeting fans outside afterward. Namely, a T-shirt with “HILLARY CLINTON IS A BADASS” written on it, and American flag jeans (see above).
I know Hillary wants to capture the youth vote (hence her event at Scooter Braun’s house where she posed with the Kardashians, as well as her meeting with official youth spokesperson Suri Cruise and her awkward photo op with Britney, bitch), but if I were her, I’d take one look at the above outfit and be all, “I have no idea who this woman is or why she’s performing at my fundraiser. Security, please escort her out.”
But this post isn’t about Hillary Clinton’s choice of celebrity performers or Katy’s fashion choices. (Or at least it wasn’t going to be until I saw that photo.) It was supposed to be about Katy and Orlando, so let’s get back to that. The good thing about Orlando’s situation is that I’m pretty sure he’s not a U.S. citizen, so even if Hillary isn’t his first choice, he can support Katy at these events but is under no obligation to vote for her. Although, not gonna lie, Katy does seem like the type of person who would push her boyfriend to complete a citizenship test for that exact reason. I don’t know, I just get that vibe from her.
